Becoming a DJ
The Choice to become a DJ can be a very exciting adventure, We have set out below some useful information you may want to think about before parting with your hard earned cash.
What type of DJ are you going to be, there are a variety, the decision you make will influence the equipment you will need to buy :
Two of the most common types of DJ are:
CD & Vinyl.
CD is the most popular and you are likely to find lots of equipment for this type of set up. If you are aiming to hone your DJ Skills to the club scene and mixing, you will need to consider the Vinyl DJ Setup, this is not suitable if you intend to be a mobile DJ.
Other setups evolve around MD & MP3. MD or Mini Disc can be quite an expensive setup, however MP3 is a very accessable and versatile and probably one of the least expensive ways to set up as this can be achieved via a laptop or PC and MP3 downloads. You may wish to consider a CD deck as a backup though in case the PC/Laptop fail.
